Fibre & Data Infrastructure
As bandwidth demands increase and organisations centralise operations across cloud platforms, the physical layer of your network becomes critical. Fibre optic and high-specification copper infrastructure provide the foundation for reliable, high-speed connectivity that supports current applications and scales for future requirements.
Connect Services designs and installs fibre and data infrastructure for organisations that need performance beyond standard commercial cabling. From campus backbone networks linking multiple buildings to data centre fit-outs requiring high-density patching, we deliver infrastructure built to enterprise standards with full testing and certification.
Single-mode and multi-mode fibre for backbone and long-haul connectivity
High-performance copper cabling up to Cat 7A specification
Data centre and comms room infrastructure
Carrier-grade installation with full certification
Fibre & Data Capabilities
Multi-Mode Fibre
OM1 and OM3 fibre installations for in-building backbone, inter-floor connectivity and short to medium distance links. Cost-effective high-bandwidth solutions for campus and building networks.
Single-Mode Fibre
OS1 and OS2 single-mode fibre for long-distance connectivity, carrier-grade infrastructure and applications requiring maximum bandwidth over extended distances. Future-proof capacity for growing data requirements.
Blown Fibre Systems
Tube and fibre systems allowing rapid deployment and future expansion without re-cabling. Install the tube infrastructure once, blow additional fibre as capacity requirements grow.
High-Performance Copper
Cat 6A, Cat 7 and Cat 7A structured cabling for environments requiring shielded, high-frequency performance. Supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet and beyond at the workstation level.
Data Centre Infrastructure
Structured cabling, fibre patching and cable management for data centre environments. High-density solutions designed for airflow management, accessibility and scalability.
Carrier Lead-Ins
Fibre and copper lead-in infrastructure connecting your premises to carrier networks. Coordination with service providers and compliant installation to carrier specifications.
Campus Backbone Networks
Fibre infrastructure linking multiple buildings across a campus or precinct. Underground and aerial routes, pit and pipe infrastructure and building entry solutions.
Testing & Certification
Tier 1 and Tier 2 fibre testing, OTDR trace documentation and full copper certification. Results provided in industry-standard formats for your records and compliance requirements.
Our Delivery Process
Step 1 – Requirement Analysis
We review your current infrastructure, bandwidth requirements, growth projections and integration points to establish the appropriate specification.
Step 2 – Design & Documentation
Detailed designs specifying fibre types, core counts, cable routes, termination methods and testing requirements. Documentation suitable for tender, construction and as-built records.
Step 3 – Pathway Coordination
We coordinate cable routes with building management, other services and construction programmes. Underground routes include pit and pipe design where required.
Step 4 – Installation & Termination
Licensed cablers install and terminate infrastructure according to specification. Fusion splicing, mechanical termination and patching completed to manufacturer standards.
Step 5 – Testing & Certification
Comprehensive Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing with OTDR traces for fibre and full certification for copper. Complete documentation package provided at handover.

Frequently Asked Questions
Multi-mode fibre (OM1, OM3) suits shorter distances within buildings and campuses. Single-mode fibre (OS1, OS2) supports longer distances and higher bandwidth, typically used for backbone connectivity and carrier infrastructure.
Blown fibre systems use pre-installed tubes through which fibre is pneumatically blown. This allows organisations to install pathway infrastructure early and add fibre capacity later without re-cabling, making it well suited to staged projects, uncertain capacity requirements, and environments that need future flexibility.
All installations include the testing, certification, and documentation required for the scope. Clients receive relevant test results, as-built drawings, and supporting records to assist with compliance, handover, and future maintenance.
Yes. We design and install pit and pipe infrastructure for underground fibre routes across campuses and between buildings, including coordination with other underground services.
We install carrier lead-in infrastructure and coordinate with telecommunications providers to ensure compliant handover. Our work meets carrier specifications for network connection.
